Our Business Partners are what make us special and what sets us apart is how we work together to build partnerships.
We have selected some of the achievements of our Business Partners over the past couple of years to give you a flavour of what makes us special.
The Crabtree, Lower Beeding
“I have been delighted with the support given by Hall & Woodhouse, from the work that their team put in to get the Crabtree open and looking fabulous, to the marketing support we had with our opening party. Our Area Manager has been fantastic, which has no doubt helped with the superb first few months’ trading.”
Awards in their first year:
- Hall & Woodhouse Best Food Public House 2012
- Finalists in two categories in the Top 50 Gastro pubs 2013
- Winner of the Best Dessert Offer at the National Pub Food Challenge 2013
The Rose and Crown, Longburton
“In the first few weeks we were at the Rose and Crown we saw a variety of the Brewery team, including Matt Kearsey, Mark Woodhouse and our Area Manager, who all attended our Opening Village Party which was a great support to us.”
Our Gala Dinner and Awards
We host an annual Gala Dinner for all of our Business Partners; the night includes seven awards, a three-course meal, some exciting entertainment and much more. The 2011 Gala Dinner was themed to Las Vegas; we had casino tables, show girls and of course, Elvis! In 2012 we combined the Gala Event with the opening of our new brewery – the event was a Brew Ha Ha with fireworks, stilt walkers and a banquet.
We take all of our Award Winners away for a trip; we took the 2009 Award Winners to Paris, and the 2010 Award Winners to Bruges. The 2011 winners went to Venice and the 2012 Award Winners enjoyed the delights of Barcelona. These have all been fantastic trips and a great opportunity for us to get to know our Business Partners even better and to celebrate their success.
A visit from Royalty
Chris Sargent, who has been at the White Horse in Stourpaine for 10 years, had a very special visitor in 2011. Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall visited Chris to congratulate him on creating a much-needed Village Shop and Post Office in his pub.
When we launched our Business Partnerships Agreement we were delighted with the positive reception it received in the press. The Morning Advertiser gave the new agreement a two-page review, reporting on benefits such as no rent reviews and lower drink prices.
We have introduced a Support Website for our Business Partners which contains an online print shop, a merchandise catalogue, useful documents on legislation and property, price lists, a GP calculator and much more. We have also created a closed Facebook page which allows our Business Partners to communicate with each other, asking questions or sharing ideas or photos.
