Following tradition, winners from the Business Partnerships Awards 2018 were invited to a three day, all inclusive short break alongside award-winning estate managers and Brewery representatives to celebrate their achievements.
This year’s award winners were treated to a visit to the stunning city of Krakow, Poland. The first day was spent exploring the city, followed by an evening reception hosted by Heineken. The group were then taken for dinner at a river view restaurant followed by a sunset cruise along the River Vistula.
On day two, award winners were given the opportunity to visit Auschwitz to learn about the tragic history of the most notorious concentration camps of the Nazi Holocaust. The group went on an eye-opening tour to explore the harrowing story of the Auschwitz and Birkenau concentration camps.
Other award winners were taken on a guided walking tour of Krakow Old Town to see the spectacular sights the city has to offer.
All award winners gathered on the final night for drinks hosted by Anthony Woodhouse. The group were taken to the Wieliczka Salt Mines to explore the remarkable underground corridors and carved chapels of one of the world’s oldest mines. The tour was followed by dinner in the outstanding Drozdowice III Chamber. The chamber is located 110 meters underground and the escape by lift was phenomenal to say the least. The group ended the night tasting the local traditional tipple.
The trip was a huge success, one Business Partner commented:
“We had a truly fabulous and memorable time. Thank you for the opportunity and taking such good care of us – lovely to spend time with such wonderful people.”
We hope everyone enjoyed a well-deserved break. A huge thank you goes to our supplier partner , Heineken, for sponsoring, organizing, and hosting the trip.
